sub37 version 1.1 release date?
I'd imagine this has already been talked about, but for whatever reason I haven't been able to dig up any info. My apologies if this was asked..
In a video posted in January (i think) Amos said it was projected to be ready sometime in February. I'm a software developer so I know how projected releases go, but has moog said anything more about it's release?

It's probably the old curse that hits everyone who dares to announce an (estimated) release date: It never works out.
Moog should just say "It's done when it's done" and we'd have it today

Also eagerly awaiting this update... Would be great to have a time estimate.
Re: sub37 version 1.1 release date?
Moog should never say "it's done when it's done" because that is like saying water is wet. But Amos has said that it will be very soon now, he is just finishing bugs off before adding a few more features because of being behind schedule.
I suggest using the Beta version which is very stable. If there is a problem you can always go back too. Just email Amos and make a request.
Personally. I am looking forward to testing the features that will be added past 1.1 like LCD display of parameters.

It's a good sign that Amos and the team are taking the extra time to get 1.1 right. It's the first major update after all.
I'm hoping for some documentation beyond the release logs. Moog will likely be shipping new units with 1.1 and an updated manual.

Well like I said I understand projected dates when it comes to software. And when things are pushed early/rushed the thing to go is usually testing. And buggy software is just no bueno. I was going to make a joke about being a beta tester for them if the needed it. Thats pretty cool they'll already do that with their users in some cases. Need another tester Amos?
Anyone know his email?? [email protected]?? im guessing

just sent out 1.1.0 RC 1 (release candidate) tonight. If it passes muster then we are on track for a release
some time in the next couple of weeks.
which means I can get some sleep soon

Re: sub37 version 1.1 release date?
I would much rather see Moog taking their time to fine tune and ensure it is a bug-free release and do it right, which I have no doubt it will be. It will be ready when it's ready. I am also hoping for a much more streamlined updating process...like an auto-updating algorithm via USB...would be nice.

Take your time, I'm still saving up....
Re: sub37 version 1.1 release date?
Hi Amos - do you have a release date for us yet please? It's now the 25th (at least in Australia) which is two weeks since your last response. It must be getting close now.
Cheers - Chris

Amos is on it. I recently reported another minor bug and verified fixes on other bugs I had reported.
No idea when it's going to be released, but it really is nice to see that a great effort is put into the upcoming release.

Indeed - as long as feature creep is not holding it back.jbottrop wrote:Amos is on it. I recently reported another minor bug and verified fixes on other bugs I had reported.

really keen on this
Re: sub37 version 1.1 release date?
Hi all... sorry for the additional delay. No it's definitely not feature creep holding us up at this point; the feature set is quite frozen until release.
Right now we are putting the final touches on the automatic firmware-update utility. This updater has been sent out to all of our beta testers and the feedback has included terms like "perfect" and "flawless" to describe the update process. This is a huge improvement over previous updates.
I expect the updater will be finished by end of week, which gives me today and tomorrow to patch a couple of very late-reported bugs.
The goal now is to have a true release candidate with automatic updater by the end of Friday, send it around to everyone to test on the weekend...
I can't promise that the release will be next week, but I am working to make sure that we'll be ready by then.
I'd like for the official release to at least occur in the calendar month following the month in which I said it'd be ready.
