Sub Phatty Filter cutoff crackling sound

Hello,

I got myself the SP this week and I really like it.
Only the filter cutoff knob is acting strange, it doesn't do clean sweeps, at some frequencies it makes "crackling" noises as if the knob itself is broken or loose... It doesn't feel that way tough.

I found this video on youtube from someone who seems to have had the same problem:

Anyone else had this and knows how this is solved?
There is no midi or cv going in or out the instrument and it has the latest firmware installed.
I hope I don't have to return the synth, I live in Europe and things might get complex this way...

Thank you very much.

I also noticed the knob is working more or less fine as long as I push or pull it a little while turning it.

It is not functioning as it is supposed to when it turn it in a "normal" way, which is weird since it doesn't feel like its loose...

Anyone any thoughts on this?

Cheers

Some Sub 37s have the same issue (mine included) I need to send it back for repair.

Sent it in for repair in my local music store.

They put in a new potentiometer, all under warranty.

A bit strange so many seem to have the same problem, but the problem was solved quickly and properly.

Cheers

Do they know if the replacements will work? Or will the issue come back once replaced?

I'm one of the unlucky buyers that has to pay for shipping and labour to get it fixed. My warranty is in US and I live in CANADA. I don't want to pay $200 for an issue that will come back.

Has Moog issued a comment about this many pots going faulty so quickly?
