Sub 37 3' setting?

Post by jsumners » Tue Jul 29, 2014 12:29 pm

I've discovered that the octave switch on the oscillators can sit between notches. Does anyone know if doing this has any adverse side effects?

From what I've noticed it appears to cause the oscillator to default back down to the 16' setting. I don't think it'd cause any ill effects.

Hopefully in an update it will default to whatever the last octave setting was selected.

Hmm, I was messing with a drone earlier and it sounded to me like it was introducing artifacts that 16' was not.

Pretty sure it's just the way the poles/decks are on the rotary switch that in between, they fall back to the 16' setting. It's the same on my Voyager, as I recall.

I have a SK50d and the Octave selecter is like what you mention. In between the octave settings it produces a 5th higher than the octave setting above so sliding through quickly has a great arp effect. Would be cool if the sub37 responded similar.
