Sub oscillator wave shape

A really awesome addition to the sub phatty would be the ability to change the sub oscillator wave shape. Sine wave or trianle wave would be good. Anyone agree?

oh, yes indeed!
I would like all waveforms available on the synth, so that many combinations from the Minimoog, could be recreated on Sub Phatty. :)

Can't see this happening....

Me neither but it'd be useful. Another thing i've always wondered why you don't get on hardware is the ability to route the sub oscillator around the filter. Like you can with N.I.'s Massive, so you don't loose any bass but still get some resonant filter action going on.

Isn't the sub oscillator a divide down from one of the other oscillators?
It can only be what ever wave form the master is..

Sub Phatty manual, page 15: "The Sub Phatty’s sub oscillator is always tuned exactly one octave below oscillator 1’s pitch, and its waveform is always a square wave."

If either of these 2 options became available as a mod, I'd definitely consider it... If anyone from Moog HQ is listening... :D

The typical octave divider circuit produces a square wave. So most synth builders add a square wave sub oscillator only.
