Sub37 Stage Edition

Post by monokit » Fri Jan 24, 2014 4:44 am

Will there be a Sub37 Stage? Will it have the SubPhatty design with steel look? When will it be available?

Thank you!

In one NAMM video the Moog rep clearly stated that they would be making the Sub 37 Tribute 'for just over a year'. So there you have it!

I think it would be fairly surprising for Moog to not release a Stage (like) edition after the initial 1st year of sales of the Tribute Sub37. It would seem a very unlikely senario to do so much development for a product with a sales life of just 1 year. I think the sub 37 tribute or otherwise is a brilliant successor to the LP. It will IMO certainly give the Voyager a run for the money when new customers are concerned. Have a/b both the Voyager XL and the Sub extensively and I actually preferred the Sub's sound. And work flow. Others will think otherwise which is fair enough. I'm glad Moog decided to retire the LP I've loved mine but we have had our moments where it has felt dated when compared to other modern analogues. And the lack of noise and it's midi handling was a slight bother. I will probably be selling mine in favour of the Sub37 Stage or Tribute. Either edition will do as long as they retain the same sonic spec it will be fine for my needs.
