Sub Phatty Problem

recently I turned on my sub phatty to find something I haven't encountered before. for some reason I am getting a strange beating sound from the synth when the panel is activated and even when there is only the primary oscillator sending signal and it sounds like a sound restarting over and over again as if you were sampling a small part of the wave form. this doesnt happen in any of my presets that i've made and has never happened before which leads me to believe maybe its a hidden setting that I cant figure out. does anyone know about this at all?

volume envelope's gotten set to retrigger, with the gate source as Always On, by the sounds of it...
you can reset the "Active Panel" hidden settings to default as follows:

1) activate the panel
2) go into Shift Mode (hold Bank 4 + press Activate Panel)
3) select the "init preset" function (press to illuminate the Bank 3, Bank 4, and Patch 1 buttons, play the low C# key twice)

that should do it.
