LittLite & Voyager Select Series

Post by acatcalledanarchy » Wed Sep 08, 2010 2:49 pm

Hi folks

We my Select Series Voyager arrived this afternoon - happy days!

However, has anyone got any idea how I attach the LittLite Gooseneck lamp to the connector on the Voyager without either breaking the Voyager or the lamp..?

Looking forward to hearing from you...

Peace, love and flowers

I dunno. I just place mine over the connector and turn the clamp clockwise until it locks into place. About 1/4 turn.

I know that mine fitted a bit difficult and even needed some force... :?

But it's possible....just be gentle and it will work.

Ahhh...

I think I've cracked it, I received the lamp with a BNC connection not a TNC connection.

Would this explain why it doesn't fit on my Voyager Select Series..?

Looking forward to hearing from you beautiful peoples...

upon reading that I got flashbacks of millions of times when I was young, my father saying

"bop bop bop bop (or) Dat dat dat dat dat dat dat dat.....DON'T FORCE IT"

When I was very young I ran into the piano room. he was sitting in front of the Rhodes/Micro and when i came running he exclaimed

"Dat dat dat dat dat dat bop bop bop bop Thats delicate.
"Whats that mean?" I asked
"It means its expensive"
"Whats that mean?"
"It means its delicate"

That was my first memory of the Rhodes and the Micromoog. lololol

Just an off topic anecdote for you.

Great story EricK.....i seem to think about some similar events when i was young...;)

And...it also reminds me of a song : "If it doesn't fit, don't force it"

Btw...check what serial you have to see what kind of connector you need : http://www.moogmusic.com/voyager/?secti ... &back_id=1

:D Thanks you beautiful people for clearing up my dilemma - I have emailed the dealer who supplied the lamp and asked to swap for the TNC version...

Now to carry on tweaking those knobs...

Peace, love and flowers to you all!
