moog voyager + fractal audio axefx ultra

running the voyager into the axe fx ultra, which is an amazing guitar preamp and effects processor. lots of insane delays and reverbs and whatnot and it pretty much turns the moog into a pad machine, it rules

thanks for this.. I've been curious about this effects processor it seems a good go to for a synth guitarist like myself... I've mostly dedicated my studio to synths and a few high end effects (eventides) but also play guitar... however I don't want to invest in tons of pedals (though I have some a slicer, some zvex and intend to get a boss re20 to replace the 201 live.)

ill post a couple more samples in a few days again. this thing is amazing, the amount of control and superb sounding options you have is absolutely ridiculous.

Are most of the effects and amp models centered around guitar frequencies (accentuated midrange and cut lows and highs) or is everything pretty full sounding? I kinda lost interest in multi-effect processors awhile ago (though I still use my PODs and some cheap 80's stuff), but I have only been hearing good things about the Fractal.

I don't know if anybody here is into Cynic or Meshuggah, but last year when they toured together the guitarists for both bands were only using the Fractal units.
So this thing only plays one note?

you can completely bypass the amp and cabinet sims and use it as a dedicated effects processor, i left the amp sims on for the demos but it was going through a very clean setting and sounded nice.

Can it do nasty grungy fuzz, or does it only excel at nice reverbs and delays? Your demo sounds great.

yup.
i was running drums through it the other day and it was nasty, in the best way possible
ill do some distortion clips now. this thing also has a vocoder and a bunch of other things i have yet to even try. it has a beta software editor too that really really eases the process of tweaking every tiny option. it's a little overwhelming at times but the amount of potential it has for so many uses is staggering.

If you take the amp/cab sims out of the equation I wonder how axe-fx ultra compares to the Eventide Eclipse?

Sounds great in your demos - keep 'em coming!
