Voyager Editor

Post by mcskeezer » Sun Sep 13, 2009 3:51 pm

Hi,

I currently have OS version 3.3 on my Voyager RME. I was looking at purchasing the editor, so I downloaded it and currently using it in demo mode. In the About section it says that it is version 3.0.0... some things are not working as advertised, ie. when I drag the cursor over the knob, the info does not display in the Touch Surface Area, unless I click the knob, which intern changes the setting....
My questions are, if I buy this version will the full mode get me version 3.3? and are these problems just with the demo version? Also, I would like to back up my presets in this version before I update to OS version 3.4. When I update do I have to purchase the 3.4 librarian as well or can I upgrade from the librarian 3.3 to 3.4 at no extra cost?

Thank you.

Skeez.

The current version of the Voyager Editor is 3.4.4. You can get it here:

http://www.soundtower.com/moog/index.htm

Try this one instead of the one you're using now - I believe that Marc corrected the issues you reported in this latest version.

Weird. Every other page on their site loads, but the Voyager page is blank for me.

you're not alone Just Me, doesn't work on my machine here at work either. weirdness.

At any rate, good luck getting them to reply to you, they've ignored me for weeks after updating tickets about a DSI thing. They make good software but their support is non-existent.

Not everyone is allowed to use firefox or another browser on their computer. And if a company doesn't support the most widely used browser on the planet, (even if it is garbage) they deserve to lose business. Nice economy to be able to ignore a vast market.

If I click on the link that Rudi sent above, the file which is downloaded is MoogVoySetup300x.exe and not ...344.exe. Is this the proper file?

Also, can the Voyager editor be used to update the OS? I have ver. 3.3. and would like to go to 3.4. Is 3.4 the latest?

Thanks,
Yannis

No, when I make a download I get the MoogVoySetup344.exe.
I prefer the freeware MIDIOX to update the Voyager software.
The 3.4 version is the latest.
If you want a 3.5 beta for the keyboard version send me an email.
Have fun,
Rudi
