vx-351 piggy-back board ?

Post by sunny pedaal » Tue Mar 24, 2009 4:35 am

i 'm able to buy a secondhand vx-351+ cp251
all cables etc are included , however the seller states that he didn't have a piggy-back board that should be placed inside the voyager.
as i read in be the sos review (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov04/a ... ?print=yes ) this board is neccesary for the vx351 to work properly, espec the lfo.
? is that thru, or has the vx351 been changed and can it now function without any extra board in the voyager? ( it will be used with a signature voyager )
? if nessacary and not in the deal i can make, can i still buy/ get the neccesary board somewhere?
please any tips/ advices/ experiences welcomed, as i can make a good price on the set, but don't want to buy a cat in the sack.

I have a signature Voyager, too. You *definitely* need the extra board! Not sure if you can order a board by itself (as a replacement part?) from Moog...

I have the board you need . The voyager os didn't need it so I have the one that my 351 came with. Can I ask what deal you got for the 2 ? I'm desperate to find a 251 !

Pogo,
I just picked up a new CP-251 and VX-351 for $500 plus tax. Talk to your dealer. Some are willing to deal! (mine still has at least 3 251's in stock)
I couldn't beat that on eBay.

Hey (new) VX-351 owners,
Did they come with a manual when new, like the Cp-251? I really like reading up on that stuff, but I got a used one and it had no manual.
As far as I can see from the product website the Vx-351 manual just comes out of the manual for the Voyager?
I wanted something more indepth like that with the CP.
Lemme know.

It comes with a warranty card and an instruction sheet to show how to install the adaptor card and it says the instructions are in the addendum of the Voyager manual.
