...well if they know the serial numbers of the 'bad batch' of keyboard scanners, it would be good customer service to advise those owners that a replacement part is available - rather than wait until the part fails at in the middle of a gig or key recording session. i.e. recall the part - that would be proactive.
I don't think that is too much to ask - not all customers would bother replacing the part if was still working anyhow...

I think that a recall would be a great idea for the suspected faulty scanners.
And your music store rocks for lending you the Voyager RME for the time without your OS!

I don't know if you're joking or not, but this statement is 100% TRUE. I swear by lead solder.

Ha, that's a lovely idea. The only small analog synth provider I live near is Analogue Haven, but they closed their storefront, and opted to just sell online. Lucky.

It'll be interesting to know how you think the RME and OS compare (sound and interface-wise, whether you enjoy the presets etc.).

Honestly you could have fixed it yourself. My keyscan downed and they sent me the board and I screwed it back in place and it took maybe 30 minutes.
No shipping necessary.

Too true. When I got my Performer back from Moog a few months back the box looked like UPS had parked one of their trucks on it. It was destroyed. I was afraid to open it at first but when I finally did the contents were luckily still intact.

I got a voyager from ups and the box had a boot sized footprint on it. THe second time it has a hole in in. I reached my finger in and felt wood. I hate shipping my voyager anywhere.
THe heaver it is the more likely it will get dropped hard. THe ups people don't care.
