KB Cont Amount Question

Post by MFenkner » Wed Nov 15, 2006 7:11 pm

I was just playing around with "KB Cont Amount" setting and noticed that you can't set the filter cutoff to track the keyboard 1 to 1. When I did some testing, with the KB Cont Amount set to 10, I have to play a note an octave and a fifth higher to get the filter cutoff to increase an octave. I remember reading a review in which it commented about this also.

My question is why would Moog design it like this? It seems to be one of those idiosyncrasies that was originally overlooked, like filter glide. Or is it designed intentionally that way?

Any ideas?

Hi Mark,

actually there is a calibration for this... if you want to mess with it you should be able to get it to track 1:1. Email me for details, (my name)at moogmusic.com

Cheers!
