Voyager, pot mapping Q?

Post by EverlyWyatt » Mon Mar 01, 2021 10:43 am

I finally tried pot mapping to modulate the filter spacing

however, I could not get any CV control to modulate the thing??

the pot mapping worked, because I could move the assigned pot by hand and get the effect I wanted

but when I tried using CV to modulate it, nothing happened ( using the built in CV expander in the voyager XL, which should mimic the 351 etc )

is this normal? has anyone else got CV modulation working, with a pot mapped parameter?

thx!

Hi- If I understand you are trying to modulate the Pot Mapping defined “Source” parameter with a CV. The source can be any of the front panel knobs, the wheels, pressure etc. These are themselves CVs. For example the filter knob is controlling the voltage going to the filter but It is not the filter itself. The Filter CVon the jack panel is an alternate path to control the filter, not the filter knob.

The point is you can’t apply a CV to another CV; only to the destinations made available on the jack panel. Again I may be misunderstanding your intent. Perhaps if you give specifics of what you are attempting.
