Minimoog Voyager random incoming MIDI Messages

Post by armandoc » Thu Sep 10, 2020 9:50 pm

Hey all, I got a weird issue happening. I have 3 Minimoog Voyagers, and one of them just seems to continually send random midi messages to my computer. I've reset it to factory default and it continues to do it. I compared settings between the other two and they all match so it makes me even more stumped. Ableton reads it as Channel Pressure MIDI data, but I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? Here is a snippet of MIDI messages it keeps dumping over and over:

Have you tested if the after touch of the one sending these values is working fine when played from the keybed (not via MIDI)?

But this is not normal anyway, so your Voyager needs to see a technician.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

that's a great idea. maybe it might help me narrow down which one it is. but I was thinking the same thing. Thanks for the reply.

Just wanted to update this thread in case anyone has this issue in the future. I sent my voyager back to Moog and they identified one of the boards was going bad. They replaced the board on the right side and it stopped the problem. Just got it back and it’s tuned and singing. Moog service is top notch. 👍
