Moog Voyager RME = lemon.. HELP!

Post by quantize » Sun Oct 13, 2019 1:19 am

Last night i went to use my very lightly played Voyager RME, it made a few odd sounds and then began failing...

like this :

LCD either blank, flashing, sometimes completing a boot, but LFO stuck on rate, midi indicator stuck...sometimes makes a sound, mostly not.

This unit has been an absolute lemon since i bought it, went to Melb (Australia) from Sydney for repair...has been repaired in Sydney for tuning issues, and now this

Anyone with some wisdom, commiserations or recommendations? This is easily the very worst synthesizer i've ever owned, it's simply a wonderful design, hideously manufactured and horribly supported.

...im not paying Moog to put in a new board when they made a dud in the first place. I would prefer they dont make me an enemy for life! For once i'd like to hear from someone from Moog directly, since the local support here in Australia leaves much to be desired. I never even received one of those golden knobs way back - my unit is registered but never had a shred of acknowledgement from Moog except via their distributor here, Audio Chocolate who of course im contacting first thing Monday morning.

I've seen this thread and am not feeling very optimistic : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11223
