How do I set up the Voyager to send portamento (guess it must be done in the EDIT or MASTER menu) to the VX-351 (connected to Roland System 100m)?

I suppose the portamento then goes from the VX-351 pitch jack... or is it a bus signal?

Any suggestions?

There is no portamento output on the Voyager as is. Here's the mod I came up with and posted about just a few weeks ago.

Thank you for the information! Strange as the Voyager has 8 (!) different types of portamento settings in the menu - extremly well portamentofied.

The pitch can be controlled by patching one of the envelopes to patch to get an autoglide, but that is not the same as portamento.

Does the LAG processor of the CP-251 add cv portamento?

Yes, that is a typical use for a lag processor. You may have to run the output(or input) through an attenuator to adjust for full range keyboard scaling. The benefit with the modification is that everything connected gets the same glide timing as the Voyager’s internal sound- all under single knob control. Same for the pitch bend and anything else modulating the Voyager’s pitch.

Originally there was just one glide mode (either off or on). In January 2009 the different glide modes were conceived by Rudi Linhard based on a logic table. And in order to get their function by name, they received some short names. See viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12274
