I'm having a problem with the drive on my reissue. The overload light no longer comes on when it should. The light works as I can see it flash on power up. There is a slight affect to the tone, but not like it used to be.
I had this happen a couple of times over the last couple years but it came back and started working properly.
It has been out for a while now and I fear it needs repair.
Any ideas on what could have caused this and how I should get it checked out? Not really looking forward to sending it back to Moog
reissue drive issue
Re: reissue drive issue
maybe fire Moog an email & ask if there are any basic things you can troubleshoot?
Could it be a dirty/funky EXT INPUT VOL switch? That enables the normalled overdrive, to save patching from headphone out. So if it's not working, the drive levels will be lower ( I believe )
not sure if you can damage anything by feeding hot signals into the EXT input. I try & avoid it though

No reply from Moog...
I tried flipping this and rotating that without luck.
About a month ago it started working again for some reason so I'm back in business. I just don't know why.
