Minimoog Voyager XL glide issue.

Post by ozakharc » Sun Nov 05, 2017 4:44 pm

Hi everyone!

I Have an unpleasured issue with my studio's "favorite" - Voyager XL. All was work fine about two years, but after a half-year of Voyager's "idle" state (when I was build my new control room), I turn the synth on, and observing that the glide is not working. Swithcing Glide ON/OF is displayed on the screen, but does not affect the sound.

Few days later, Glide "magically" starts to work again, but with another trouble: I can't change glide rate. Rotating the Glide Rate knob is displayed on the screen (from 0 to 255), but does not affect the sound. Glide rate stays at the constant value (probably, at 130-150, as I can hear, between the lowest and highest note on a keyboard).

I have some experience with electronics, so I tried to find the answer. Glide circuit on a main PCB looks "alive", moreover, just in case, I replace op-amp and transistors in that circuit, but issue is still present.

So, can anyone suggest something, what it can be?
I will be very grateful for any advice!

Thanks!
