possible to add "key on" button to model D?

is it possible to add the "key on" toggle like the Voyager has, to the D reissue?

it's labelled " env gate on/keyboard " on the Voyager and holds the last note pressed indefinitely

I find it incredibly useful, and I am wishing I had 3 arms when using the model D.

having to hold the note with one hand, leaving only one free to "wiggle" is very annoying in comparison

thanks!

You could stick a knife between two keys to hold one down - LOL!

Seriously: You're right, I also often use the "gate on" switch on my Voyager, it's a helpful tool.

Not quite as good as the knife idea but...you do have the V trig gate input on the back. Just tie it to something that puts out 5V - - maybe a pedal you already have or a modular component?

hey, that is a great idea!

at least, it is possible to achieve the effect. I'll try it

....that also means it would be fairly easy to do internally, with a switch. if one were so inclined. tap 5v from somewhere and feed it to the V trig point.

I wonder if that's how it's wired on the Voyager?

not nearly as glamorous as a knife, though!! :D

ps I saw some keyboard weights displayed at knobcon. good idea, but do they also work on black keys?

i think the minimoog accepts midi sustain pedal . so you could program a sustain controller in logic or cubase , etc. . .

Simple sent a MIDI note to the reissue Minimoog and then pull the MIDI cable while the note is held. This way, the Minimoog will be "key on" until you switch it off.
