argh...I was trying to figure out some of the menu buttons and when I hit "master" it said
"patch saved to XXXXX "
so i I accidentally overwrote one of my personal patches
it must have been a quick save hotkey? normally I have to go to a couple screens to save a patch
is there any way to undo this?
thx
is there a way to "undo" a patch save on the voyager?
Re: is there a way to "undo" a patch save on the voyager?
allright I figured out what happened...I guess I hit "master" two times in quick succession, which in v3.5 saves over the current patch
from:
http://rekkerd.org/moog-updates-minimoo ... s-to-v3-5/
"Panel Mode: Quick Save – If a preset has been edited, then pressing the Master switch twice saves the preset to the present location."
grrr...I think I will disable this, if it's possible

If your patches are precious to you, I would also consider backing them up on your computer.

yes, good idea. I downloaded the sysex (?) software but haven't tried to figure it out yet
thx!!

aha, I also saw this in another post
" the battery of the Voyager is rechargeable and in most cases it will be full charged when the power is on for a few hours. If you do not switch on your Voyager for one year the battery gets discharged and all presets are gone."''
even better reason to backup presets!

It is - setting under Master menu/Storage Modes
Re: is there a way to "undo" a patch save on the voyager?
thanks...but the only option I see there is
"go to stored preset after saving"
which does not disable the quick save ( double clicking master x2 ) for me

I didn't think this was new to OS 3.6 but maybe it is (that's what I'm on).ummagumma wrote:thanks...but the only option I see there is

Right above "go to stored preset after saving" mine says "2x MASTER button stores Preset" with a yes/no option.
Re: is there a way to "undo" a patch save on the voyager?
very interesting...thanks!!
I guess I should figure out the whole sysex/update thing sooner than later.

I see now in this thread that the Master 2x Store function was added as part of 3.6.

I have 3.6 installed but still do not see those x2 master save options...now I know why: there is more than one 3.6!!
