Voyager Oscillator 2 + 3 Frequency Tuning

Post by motion drive » Tue Feb 28, 2017 8:40 am

Still new to my lovely Voyager Xl I came across a strange behaviour. When I turn up the OSC 2 or OSC 3 Frequency completely on the right side...it should match a proper 7th halftone up compared to the OSC1 right? But the proper 7th is around 123 on the display and not the max 128.

On my Little Phatty and Sub 37 its normal to turn the know clockwise completely and there you have your 7th up. Is this normal or do I have a tuning problem? When playing the presets, especially the chord presets, everything sounds fine and in tune. But it seems the 7th up is as said around 123 and not to the maximum.

My thought was...maybe that's a way to detune even beyond the 7th up a little bit?

Thx for inputs!

This is to allow for some wiggle room on the high end. Properly calibrated, it should sit right around 123 in tune with oscillator 1.
The Sub line has an automatic note calibration process, so there is no need for any extra range as you could always run the note calibration if it's out of tune.

Allright, thats what I thought so. Is there a kind of chart for each key? Like...display value for each halftone?
