Updating to 3.2 with MacBook Pro

Post by Marzzz » Wed Apr 26, 2006 9:30 pm

The new MacBook Pro completely blows my old TiBook out of the water, but with regard to the Vger it presents a problem: Normally us MacFolk use SysexLibrarian to update the Vger's OS, but SysexLibrarian so far does not seem to work in the new Intel Macs...I'll keep trying.

Has anyone been able to update the OS with a MacIntel? Are there any Sysex players that are universal binary? Logic Pro (STILL) doesn't import .sysex, is there any software out there that can be used instead? Thanks....!

Well, I found the answer-

http://www.icedaudio.com/

has a Universal Binary app named "Audiofinder" which can send .syx in demo mode. I am now up to speed....

That's great news for all of us 'Macfolk'. Thanks for sharing the solution. I'm sure the existing programs that we use (like SysEx) will be upgraded at some point, so it will get better with time.

I'm surprized to hear that Logic doesn't support .syx files. (I'm not a Logic user, I'm just surprized by this.)

If you haven't already grabbed a copy, go to SquareWave and download the OS 3.2 Menu Reference pages. It's handy for working with the new OS, and it will really get you up to speed!
