Converting a 10V gate to a 5V gate
Does anyone know of a device I can use to convert a Korg SQ-1 10V output gate to a 5V input gate on the Voyager?

I guess any attenuator will. including the ones on the CP-251

What? KORG SQ-1 V/Oct supported for 5V!John Di Stefano wrote:Does anyone know of a device I can use to convert a Korg SQ-1 10V output gate to a 5V input gate on the Voyager?
Just hold FUNCTION button on SQ-1 and press 5V buttons on A section and B section (they will light red) to select 5V CV range for each.
You don't need any converters to use SQ-1 with your Voyager. Only patch cables with 3'5 to 6'3 jacks.

Perhaps I should ask if anyone knows a CHEAP way to reduce a 10V gate from a Korg SQ-1 sequencer to trigger a Voyager, which is looking for a 5V trigger. I`m told that the 10 volts is too hot for the Voyager. Don`t want to damage this wonderful machine.

used it last week from a friend, no problem with the voyager
otherwise ( when not wanting to take "the risk") indeed use a pot or a resistor( very cheap ) in between

Well the gate itself according to the manual is 10V, the adjustment here is just for the CV output. I also have some concerns with the 10V gate over the long term.weary wrote:What? This also holds true with the Beatstep Pro.
