Dark Time to Voyager via CV/Gate - Slight problem

Post by MBlom » Fri Nov 25, 2016 6:37 am

I want to sequence my Voyager with my Dark Time through CV/Gate so I can use the Voyagers keys to transpose the sequence. Dark Time set to 1V. I can set it up so it triggers just fine, but I've rum in to a slight problem. Even though I press an A it plays a G. Is there some setting I'm forgetting? Thought it might have something to do with the voltage but when I Google the combo (DT + Voyager) everything seems to work fine for everybody per default.

The sequence needs to be transposed at the DarkTime, either via MIDI or CV.
I have the RME, so when I transpose the DT sequence, it's from a MIDI keyboard that's routed to the DarkTime, then CV/GATE to voyager.....

The sequence is coming from the DT, so to transpose this sequence from your voyager keyboard...
1. Try MIDI out from the voyager to MIDI in on the DT (remembering to set corresponding MIDI channels on both)
or, if you have a vx-351...
2. Try the KYB-PITCH CV out and connect to CV1 or CV2 on the DT
^^not really sure if either of these will work (....it's what I would try anyhow  ), but I do know the sequence needs to be transposed from the DarkTime.

Hope this helps!

Yes, that's what I've been doing. Problem is that when I press an A the DT plays in G. Don't feel like having that to think of when playin like this. Tried MIDI out from Voyager to DT In and then MIDI Out from DT to Voyager. But the Voyager can't be set to the same channel I and O (creating a loop that results in a stairway up in octaves and the silent) and I can't find a way to set different channels on DT I and O.
