Doepher Dark Time Step Sequencer vs Voyager

Post by HansVDM » Tue Sep 13, 2016 9:00 am

Hi,
I want to connect a Doepher Dark Time Step-sequencer to a minimoog voyager, and be able to use the voyager keyboard to change the pitch . How can i do this without use of the midi-in and outputs? Which cables do i need to connect? And what do i connect? Or do i need a VX-351 CV Output Expander to do this?
It would be great if someone can help me with this.

Thanks, Hans

that is interesting

I have a dark time as well, but I have not had time to hook it up to the voyager

I will let you know if I discover anything

I am not near my Voyager or DT at the time but this should work.

Hook up the DT with cv out to pitch in on the voyager. Gate out to gate in in tge env section of the voyager.

In the midi menu turn local off. Midi out from the voyager to midi in on the DT.

Have fun.

I used to use my DT with my Voyager a lot. I find the above connections work, but without using a midi cable, just leave midi local on, on the Voyager (from a transposing point of view).
