Voyager RME release envelope seems "short"

Post by c011n_5u770n » Sat Aug 06, 2016 3:38 am

Hello! I apologize if there is already a thread addressing this issue (I couldn't find it).

I have two Voyager RMEs. One works great, the other does too except I have been noticing that I cannot get the release of my waveform to last for than a second or so.

The A, D, and S all seem to work, and so does the R, it's just that its "range" is very limited compared to my other Voyager.

I did a side by side with Init. patches and the difference is very noticeable.

The oddest thing is that when I load a preset with a long decay, it plays out just fine.

This is what leads my to believe that it is a software thing (I haven't updated the OS since 2007).

Am I totally screwed? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Anyone else experience something similar?

Thanks

Try changing the Release Function in PANEL mode. This works just like the RELEASE switch in the LHC panel on the Voyager keyboard - this should adjust the release time.

EDIT: After making the change you may have to save each preset indivdually, as I don't believe the Release Function is global.
