Hello,
I am a long term Voyager user (it is exactly this one ).
I have developed a SysEx Librarian which works directly in Googles Chrome browser so you don't have to install anything.
You can send the programs to the browser, rename, preview or delete them and even share sounds with other users.
It's free and there is even no need to register for the basic function. I thought it might be interesting for some of you.
The SysEx Librarian supports some other synths too. It is called LASER Mammoth and you find it on https://f0f7.net
I am happy for every feedback I can get.
LASER Mammoth is a new SysEx Librarian for Voyager
Re: LASER Mammoth is a new SysEx Librarian for Voyager
It would be a big help, if the page would name the compatible browsers on opening the start page. And not after I connected my synth and hit the button.
Although this is another great idea, I am not going to use Chrome here.
A shame Apple did not yet include the needed API in their latest Safari Technology Preview.

keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sorry, I will try to make this clearer.till wrote:It would be a big help, if the page would name the compatible browsers on opening the start page. And not after I connected my synth and hit the button.

Currently it also works in the Opera browser.
I guess MIDI is just not their top priority. But the Web MIDI API is an official specification of the W3C. So there is hope that Apple might add it at some point.till wrote: A shame Apple did not yet include the needed API in their latest Safari Technology Preview.
Honestly I was quite amazed that Google supports it. It even runs in the Android phones.

Thanks! I tried to make it as easy as possible.stsystem wrote:Congratulations!

The biggest restriction is the small selection of supported browsers.
In return you don't have to install anything and it works even in Linux (Chromium).

tried, very nice and helpful:
I downloaded the bank "solitud"; very beautiful sounds; you have programmed them too?
In the coming days, when I have completed a bank, I will publish my sounds;

Glad you liked it!patrizio nuti wrote:tried, very nice and helpful:
Not really, that is just a dump of my Voyager, mainly with the factory sounds. I just published that to display that is possible to share sounds.patrizio nuti wrote: I downloaded the bank "solitud"; very beautiful sounds; you have programmed them too?
That would be cool!patrizio nuti wrote: In the coming days, when I have completed a bank, I will publish my sounds;

Do you collect a few single sounds as well?
Maybe a Moog Forum bank made from sounds of several members?

Not sure if I understand you right. Here is what is possible:till wrote:Do you collect a fee single sounds as well?

Assuming you want to generate a "best of sound bank" you can send several Voyager banks via Sysex and save them into "My banks".
It should be possible to send a single sound from the Voyager too.
You can prelisten the sounds simply by clicking on them in the list.
You can drag and drop the favorites into a new bank.
You can save the new bank as "MoogForum/Tills Favorite" and click the "world icon" to publish.
Everybody can load your bank into his Voyager or add his own programs to the bank.
(But has to save it as a new bank, people cannot overwrite your banks of course).
So yes, it should be possible to generate a collaborative soundbank.
Protip: Type ? on the keyboard to see the available keyboardshortcuts.
Re: LASER Mammoth is a new SysEx Librarian for Voyager
P.S.
You don't have to overwrite the sounds on your Voyager to prelisten banks.
You can load a bank from the database and click through the sounds (cursor keys work too).
These sounds are sent to the Voyagers Edit Buffer for prelistening so nothing will be deleted on your synth!

Any chance of making this work offline ?
Re: LASER Mammoth is a new SysEx Librarian for Voyager
No current plan for that.Acid Mitch wrote:Any chance of making this work offline ?
But if you just want to reorder some programs in your voyager you can totally do that anonymous without registration.
