Has the Voyager no sustain pedal facility?

Is there really no way you can use a damper or sustain pedal with a Moog Voyager?

Can't seem to get it working.

The voyager has a latch switch, below the EG, which is what I use.

No, it does not have a sustain pedal. Only latch for triggering notes on and off. A bit annoying really.

Well, it has a trigger input for the EGs, so an option is to trigger and hold the pedal, which will maintain the "sustain" level as long as the switch is down. You have an analogue monosynth, not a piano/home organ so you shouldn't expect the same behaviour!

What exactly would you like the pedal to do?

I would like to tie different notes together in case I need to jump notes distant from each other on the keyboard. I play with one hand so using my second hand doesn't help.

What you say sounds like a solution. Which input should I use?

There's an ENV KEYBOARD ON/EXTERNAL switch on the front panel; (I don't have a Voyager with me) you switch that on for every patch you need, and plug a footswitch into ENV GATE. For legato modes, you'd want to configure your patches as single trigger not multi trigger and with non-zero sustain so the level doesn't decay to zero.

The problem is that (I think) switching to on/external will disconnect the keyboard... Best bet would be to use the VX-351 expander and send both the footswitch and the keyboard gate to a mixer (or a diode "analogue OR" multiple) and then patch to ENV GATE.
