RME wood panels

Just got the wood panels after several months of waiting. Weird that the left and right panel were produced 2 years apart, one in July 2012 and the other in May 2014. You can see the wood patterns and finish were quite different. Anyone else such experience ?

Even if they were made on the same day, the variations in two different boards could give you that amount of difference. In most cases, they would send the closest match they could find, though it's possible that that's all they had at the time. Fortunately, it's hard to see both panels at the same time, except the small strip that you can see from the top.
