MIDI in

Post by Sambeaux » Fri Mar 03, 2006 12:58 pm

I'm having what is probably a stupid MIDI moment, but I can't seem to figure it out. I'm trying to control the MMV with a Yamaha WX5 wind controller and the MMV responds to only every other note (starting with the second note I play). I've also tried to control it from an external MIDI keyboard and it only works if I hold down one key first, then play. There must be some setting that I'm overlooking, right? RME users must have some proficiency with the MIDI system since it's their only option... help!

try this:
MASTER menu item 4.2 "midi Key Order":
You should set it to "not active" (so something like this).
I bet it is this setting that cause the problem. It may be set somehow to a different setting.
This is like an overflow modus for chaining several Voyagers /RMEs to a Poly-Voyager.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16
