disecting 8 banks to 1...

Post by Nick Montoya » Tue Feb 28, 2006 2:16 pm

Hey Guys and Gals...

I only have the demo of the librarian from sound tower and I would like to make a user bank (128 presets) using patches from 8 different banks of sysex files. How do I go about taking 20 patches from this bank and 20 from that bank, 5 patches from that bank (and so on ) to create a user bank sys ex file that will incorporate all of my selected patches ?.. I also have Midi OX, which I like to use alot more that the ST ware. Can Midi ox do this ? I couldn't get it to... But I'm a Midi-idiot ;)

I need to get all my "live use" patches and all of Hans Fjellestad's patches and load them into the same bank to avoid having to do a dump inbetween our sets, at the up coming Moog Tribute. At the Moog Benefit concert in Jan , I ended up not being able to load my patches in, so I had to use the unused default patches in hans' bank (performer presets). It turned out okay, but I would like to use my own patches this time (moded EB presets) :)

I assume I might have to load each bank in to my voyager seperately, then send the individual presets to my PC (via midi) untill I have all 128 in the same saved bank ??? Like I said, I am a midiot.... Help a brother out..

Thanks for all your help..

There is no easy way to do this, as I would like to do the same in reorganizaing patches and I thought the editor would help but I'm stuck because I need the Voyager OS 3.2 to work with the latest Soundtower Voyager Mac editor

The only way I see it could be done now is to send all individual patches out, then load them back individually into the bank of your choice. Alot of work though and could be done faster if the above was released already.
