Greetings, 'foogers.
I tried using my Voyager as a MIDI keyboard yesterday to control my Virus TI. After messing with MIDI settings on both synths, I still couldn't get the Voyager to stop controlling the volume of the Virus. I really want the respective volume knobs to work independently. I don't want any panel controls on the Voyager to effect anything on the Virus, just keyboard and pitch/mod wheels. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Look at page 117 of the Virus TI Reference manual, under Volume RX.

My pleasure.
Glad it worked as expected.
I also think there might be a way to prevent any knob on the Voyager from sending MIDI data, but doing a quick search in the manual of the Voyager, I couldn't find it...?

Hi,
ain't no MIDI guru at all here, but maybe on page 66, 2nd paragraph instructions would do the trick ? On page 64 there is the MIDI local cont.
menu wich is better if only partial functions are to be stopped ?

Re: Need Help using Voyager as MIDI controller
On page 45, the last line says:
"For Voyager keyboard editions, the LOCAL CONTROL function
is located in the Master Mode menu, function 1.2."
Although I see it in function 1.1.
It has a lot of options, very useful!

By the way, with OS 3.6 (not officially released) you can also transmit MIDI CC sustain connecting an hold pedal to ENV GATE input of Voyager

Hi, do you have anymore info on this new OS ? Any major changes or is it just bug fixes ?paologatto wrote:By the way, with OS 3.6 (not officially released) you can also transmit MIDI CC sustain connecting an hold pedal to ENV GATE input of Voyager
