New Voyager, dead OSC?

Post by Spumoni » Sat Dec 14, 2013 11:21 am

Hello all -

I purchased a brand new Voyager select series about 2 years ago and have used it very little. It's been sitting in my home studio untouched. OSC 3 appears to be dead. It makes a tick noise when I press a key, and also when I turn the wave knob for OSC 3. I emailed Sweetwater, and they suggested doing a reset. This hasn't solved it. I just want to make sure I'm overlooking something stupid before I send it in for repair.

Is this normal for a new unit?

Does anyone have experience with the same issue?

Thanks in advance!

I had a similar issue and my instrument had to go in for repair. I don't recall what the cause was but the clicking sound was a symptom.

About seven years ago I had the same issue with my brand new Voyager. Just a clicking noise but no sound. After a repair I did not encouter this problem again.

Uuuh... a couple of Moogers over the XXXX Voyager owners told they had the same problem. I would'nt conclude by the same statement ;)

What's not uncommon is the Moog support guys helping you out though.

I wish you can play your fixed Voyager soon! :)
