Doesn't the ribbon controller just add to the keyboard voltage? It seems like if you let go, it should return to that key's voltage.

I think I hear the mothership coming.

no, it holds the voltage wherever your finger last touched on the ribbon. not ideal for live performance. i would love it if it worked more like a pitch bend.

That's odd behavior. Some of the other ribbons that I've seen either have an option to HOLD or return to 0 when you let go.

I had a question about it actually; is it 'known' by the OS or does it just show up at the patch point?

i think it just shows up at the patch point. there are no options related to the patch panel in the os.

i have a doepfer a-198 in my euro system and it has a toggle switch to hold the voltage. i guess that's what is missing from the voyager's ribbon controller.

That's a shame. What about the 2nd LFO (which is Midi sync'able I think?) Is it free running, can it sync with the OS's LFO and have a divider or is it detached?

the lfo is midi syncable. the rate jack controls the division.
