I was very surprised by the email. Like some one else mentioned, I was just expecting a sticker or a shirt. This is really nice gesture, thank you Moog.

Plus it will look really cool as it start to get more of a patina

Anyone know if you'll be able to just pull off the existing knob or will you need to open the body up?

I just got the email. What a cool gift! Thank you Moog!

If the knob doesn't pull off, then it is secured with a setscrew. Look for a recessed hole opposite the pointer dot on the knob. I don't remember if it is slotted or allen wrench.

All Cosmo type bakelite knobs on the Voyager (and Minimoog D) are held on the shaft by a setscrew on the side. Which can be unscrewed with either a 5/64" Hex Key (or Allen Key), or a small flat head screwdriver depending on the setscrew type used.

No need to open anything.

I have MF pedals with Cosmo knobs that are secured by friction on a D-shaft - no setscrews.

If you're serious, I'd be keen on yours (if you don't have anyone else in mind of course!) and pay for shipping etc.
Maybe it will fit on one of my Phatties, Moogerfoogers or the Minitaur..

Cool idea anyway - Moog, I'm impressed! 8)

Yeah MC, that's why I specified knobs on the Voyager and Minimoog D.

Faithful Voyager OS owner. Sad because it's second hand. No knob for this guy :(

You're welcome to it - unless they suddenly start changing hands for huge sums on ebay, which I doubt.

I'll let you know if Moog send me one, though I haven't received the email from them yet. Someone was saying recently that Moog don't seem interested in anyone outside America. As I have a British issue Voyager that doesn't have the Moog logo and Moog don't seem the slightest bit interested in providing even a sticker to badge their instrument, this comment rings true.

People, people, let's not forget that Moog Music will have to sort through tons of sent confirmations to validate each and everyone of them with their records, before starting to ship said brass knob...
That may take a while...

Awesome - I appreciate this, it's very nice of you! :D

I won't hold my breath obviously, but rather treat it as a bonus if I do get one.

BTW That's interesting about the British Issue Voyager. I didn't know there were logo-less Voyagers around..

Yes, of course that will take a while.

They've had since 2005 to send the Moog logo sticker, and still no sign of it.

So what about us RME owners? No setscrews on our knobs and the cutoff filter knob is slightly smaller than on the full sized Voyager. How do these work on an RME? Amos?
