Usually, knobs with a setscrew can be installed on spline shafts, or D shaped ones. Although they might turn slightly askew, or off-center.

Have an early PE here, and all the large knobs have setscrews. So there are 5 large knobs, LFO rate, osc 2 & 3 frequency, filter cutoff, master volume. All the rest are on D shafts and a friction fit. All the knobs on the RME here are non-setscrew type.

You can register it anyway. If something goes wrong, contact moog people (Perry in this case).
I have a second OS too and was mailed.

You could always take your existing knobs and dip them in gold color paint ?

Ah, so you are getting the purdy knob? The original owner registered it and purchased the extended warranty. I was told that the standard warranty doesn't transfer, but the extended does. Last I heard was that the original owner gave Moog the OK to transfer to me and I sent an email requesting this be completed, but it never was. I just got a call in to Perry now. Hope it doesn't slip by again.

Registering is not only about warranty: I got mine used and with warranty ended too.

It would be nice if anyone could tell us when he, or she, has received the golden knob. Just to get an idea when they actually start to ship...
