Electric Blue Preset Download!

Post by shiftdelete » Fri Aug 12, 2005 9:19 pm

I think I finally got my Audigy card to work. Here are the Electric Blue Presets. http://www.shiftdelete.com/moog/eb.zip

Please try them out, and let me know if it works.

There's some good ones in this set. I bet Boeing is going to love preset No. 29, Cars Intro. I did.

Dumb question here.......

I can't get the file to open in Sonar4PE. Getting a file not compatible message.

Any suggestions? Is it possible to open the file in the editor somehow?

Thanks.

Have the EB but it came with the original presets. Can't wait to hear the EB set.

Are you sure that you are trying to open the file in sysx view? If you're trying to open it like a regular sonor or midi file from the main menu, you'll get an error.

From the View menu from the top toolbar, choose Sysx and a window should open up. From Sysx view click on the open folder icon (Load Bank from File) and you should be able to open the eb.syx file.

hope this helps,

Thanks for the response. For the record I'm using Sonar4PE 4.03.

It's still giving me a file not compatable error.

The properties tab on eb.syx says it's a SYX file and opens with SONARPDR.EXE.

Is there another option???

Thanks!

Hello,

Just a possibility. The EB file is posted as a MIDI-OX sysex file. I have found that at times, some applications that are looking for raw sysex will
not recognize MIDI-OX sysex file. I believe it has to be modified for this.
You may want to download a copy of the MIDI-OX utility and try using it to transfer the file.

Regards,

LWG

Sorry you're having problems, c7sus. SONARPDR.EXE is the Sonar program executable, or exe. I do not have a registered version of Sonar, but I downloaded the demo of the Producer Edition and it opened the syx file without any trouble.

You are not by chance opening it up by double clicking on the eb.syx filename are you?

I've updated my Voyager using Home Studio 2004, which uses the same procedure as SonarPE.

Maybe you should take up LWG's suggestion and try MIDI-OX.

Thanks for MIDIOX!!!

It did the trick.

AFAIK I don't have any sysex filters turned on in Sonar. I will check into it.

Thanks all of you for your suggestions and help. You have made me feel very welcome here.
