hello all since a week my mmvos release switch is not working as it should. the release time is about half a second. ive been playing with a koma electronic kommander and a dark time sequencer could one of these devices switched something internally or did i blow up my envelope generator? when pushing the release switch it almost does nothing to the release time when switched to drone everything s normal

what s going on inside my voyager? could it be a loose cable connection from the mod wheel unit ot the analog board or is it a broken chip or switch/pot?

Since Moog Music refuses to publish (or perhaps make available for electronic hobbyists) the schematics of the Voyager (at least the main analog board), even though it's 10 years old (and some models like the OS are outside warranty and discontinued), we have no way of trying to trace problems to particular sections. Or even try to reverse-engineer the circuit design.

So, more often than not, all we can say is: contact Moog Music to explain the problem to them, and see what they suggest to do.

It's curious that Moog Music are encouraging and even promoting circuit-bending, by having contests about it, but not of their own devices (by keeping the schematics of all their products a closely guarded secret) ?
Paradoxal, isn't it ?

Hey, same situation here with my Old School. I found a way to work around it, for my unit at least: the release switch will completely kill the release time as long as the amp release knob is at 65% or less, any higher and it only cuts it down about 1/2 time. My release switch functions more like a "fast release>>slow release" switch. I don't mind that so much :)

As for whether that will work for you, only one way to find out. Try it. I hope it does, otherwise good luck contacting Moog. Their tech support is always pleasant and helpful, so I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction if I have not.
