Good eye, EMwhite! I vote for it being a joke. There's no reason for a real prototype to have the XL top, seeing how the length wouldn't be right. I'm thinking this is a hint. . .

Hey, people, anyone can plainly see that the first picture is a computer rendering of a virtual prototype (and not even a good one at that) Geez!

And the second pic is one of the back of a Voyager XL (probably Khatru2u's) on which a bad photoshop job has been done to put a pseudo-lighted logo at an improper angle, as EMwhite had noticed.

As for it being a joke, most probably. Especially when there is no mention anywhere of this, either from Moog or Sweetwater...yet.

So what you are saying is that it's sort of like vaporware, or in the same category as this: http://www.tomoberheim.com/images/sov4-wide-Lg.jpg

Yep. I also think that the same poor rendering software has been used in both cases...

And while we're at it, this also (although Tom Oberheim has already begun taking orders for it, so it might not be vaporware for long if he has enough pre-orders):

Cross my heart and hope to die guys, I was really sent this stuff from Sweetwater. I'm not saying it's not some kind of joke, but I swear to you on the soul of my XL, I had nothing to do with it.

Geez....such skeptics. To be honest there is not enough time or interest in my life to care about scamming my cohorts in Moog World. I mean if I make you mad you'll snub me in the future.
Ok for what its worth..............

Well I'll be damned.

Might still be a joke from Sweetwater though...

Anyway thanks for the screen shot, and sorry to have doubted you Khatru2u. I will believe anything you write from now on !

There's no way Moog are doing this. This has to be a joke.

As much of a fan of the Steampunk aesthetic as I am, I do not like this $15,000 abomination. Needs sterling silver knobs, not acrylic. Needs more intricate inlay, maybe fancier scrollwork in green abalone on a dark stained Hickory case. C'mon, Moog. You could have done better.

Unfortunately guys, this is true.

I contacted Bob, whose address appeared on the email, and He didn't verify the validity of this yet, but I did a google image search that took me to this page:
https://www.facebook.com/professionalmusicgear

I think it's safe to say that this is valid.

Sorry to doubt you, Khatru.

Said to ship December 10th.
