Thanks Kenneth. Yes, and the master sounds a lot better than the Soundcloud stream (which is painfully distorted). You can get a copy of that here: http://bendingbus.bandcamp.com/ or download AAC format from iTunes.
Working on a full length CD of moog awesomeness for release next year.

I'm looking forward to that full length! Send me a PM when it's ready for me to buy.

Hey Guys! I did an acoustic/electronic fusion of a Haydn string quartet piece with violin and the moog voyager. I mostly played the violin I part on violin and the moog handled the rest (=violin II, viola, and cello parts).

I f'ing love this. I'm really inspired after listening to it. The 8 bit sounds you got out of the voyager are great, and I love how the strings mix with the synth parts. Hilarious and beautiful music making, stalking panda.

So as I am the new daddy of a beautiful Voyager Old School, here is a little ambient track I made with it.
Du rose dans le ciel - 5'29.
I used a simple digital recorder and a looper, no edit, no process.
Enjoy, feedback welcome.

This is great! I followed you on SoundCloud. Looking forward to hearing more of what you do with your new instrument! By the way, I can totally tell it's an Old School. I'm not sure what it is, but something about it does sound different from a Performer or Select. Do you know what I mean, or do I sound crazy?stiiiiiiive wrote:So as I am the new daddy of a beautiful Voyager Old School, here is a little ambient track I made with it.

Thanks Kenneth, I'm glad you enjoyed it BTW I've listened to your Book Of Eli: excellent. I myself use an eBow sometimes, such a good device.
I'm not a Voyager expert enough to say whether there is a difference between models. All I can tell is it passed through a slightly modulated delay with pretty much feedback and through a reverb all along. This modified the grain of it, maybe...?

I can't quite put my finger on it. The best way I can describe it, is that the Old School tastes different. I know there are people who would get riled up over me saying that. But I feel it in my bones.stiiiiiiive wrote:Thanks Kenneth, I'm glad you enjoyed it BTW I've listened to your Book Of Eli: excellent. I myself use an eBow sometimes, such a good device.

Finished this tune last night, got done mixing this morning. Lots and lots of Voyager Old School on this, and little licks of Casiotone here and there. This one is a lot more upbeat than what I usually do. Hope you like it!

Re: post your voyager sounds
Here's a new one from me. Making videogame music demos at the moment for a couple of projects. But I've loaded up some samples.
This tune is essentially Voyager + NI Reaktor... a rather powerful combination all told!! I can't get over how deep this instrument is. I may have to take a break from it for a while, it ends up in all of my mixes.

Hi!
A little nice song I wrote some time ago.
Base, arps, solo - All Voyager
Try to figure out the lyrics, I dare you!
