ATA case foam pads

Post by Newmoog » Mon Jan 02, 2012 1:38 pm

The Moog ATA case for the Voyager (latest model with recessed wheels) comes with two velcro-detachable foam pads: are these supposed to protect the knobs? I assume so, but I'd like to get a confirmation about their correct positioning.

I don't own one of these cases but I'm assuming the foam pads are there to keep the Voyager from bouncing back and forth within the case during intense shipping conditions. My SKB case has a similar setup. All I can say is the Voyager has two separate potentiometer/knob boards so the best place for the two pads are roughly midway from center to the left and the right over the panel. This should spread any external pressure across the panel evenly.
