Changing Presets Externally??

Im just wondering if it is possible to change the preset of my Voyager using Ableton in a live setting. Basically i want to launch a scene and have the Voyagers program change with it so that i can use different sounds with different scenes. I can use a midi track with an envelope in ableton to send any MIDI message i want to an external instrument, but i cant seem to figure out how to change the program on the voyager using external control.. Am i being a total dummy or is this just not possible?
