Voyager in the studio

Post by drcarver » Sat Mar 19, 2011 5:58 pm

I finally started recording a solo project this week. I figured it would be a good chance to snap a few pics of my recording rig. This was my first big session with the Voyager, and she didn't let me down!

Spent some time in my "Studio" yesterday and came up with this...

Nord G1, Voyager, 5U/MU modular run polyphonic. 104Z, phaser and Strymon El Capistan. Live take one shot with no dubbing.
"Music expresses that which can not be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."

Yep that's a lovely room :) I've already got a Voyager, so I'm afraid all I've got left for you is room-envy.

Yeah I'm lucky to have that studio near my home. My best friend opened it up a couple of years ago. Its called "The Lodge" and is in NE Mississippi...It gets used mostly by Nashville cats, but being friends with the owner has its privileges. :) It's easily one of the nicest and most well-equipped studios I've been in.

I'm hoping to have my project finished by the fall. I'll be sure to post some tunes.

Here's another shot looking at the big room through the control room glass. You can see some iso booths and there is also a large room with a grand piano.
