Congrats!
I picked my XL up from Analogue Haven on the 12/28, life has not been the same since
It's S/N # 40, which I consider oddly fortunate as the XL is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Mini Moog !

Keith, nice setup! I've been gone for a few days, so this is the first I'm seeing of the new XLs "out in the wild". Mmmm, synthporn...
Congrats to everyone who just got one of the baddest synths ever made, and keep the pix coming!

Hi why do you buy a voyager xl when you already have a voayager with cp-251 and vx-351? To get a duo-phonic moogsystem or for the ribbon/biggerkeyboard?
Please convince me that it's not usless buying an xl 'cos i have a voyager+CP-VX too and i really like it but, i was thinking to buy a Arp Odissey and a modular or a arp 2600

Voyager electric blue, Vx-351, Cp-251, Ring modulator, Murf, Phaser, Freqbox.

Hi i have the same question. Why XL when you have the EB plus Cp and Vx? Unless XL is a collectors limited edition signed by Bob himself.- no offense am just curious why you would spend 5k for an xl
Thanks

Perhaps because now the lucky guy can have two going at once - sequence one, play the other. I could always use another synth - I'm envious !

I just got my XL from Sweetwater a couple of days ago. Took forever to get it, ordered back in October. #85
I set it up and the first thing I noticed was that two of the knobs were not screwed down right and just float when I turn them. I went into a retarded hulk rage, my poor dog hid in the bathroom. I emailed Moog about it but I guess they are too busy to respond after 48hrs. I have not tried to fix it myself yet. You guys got any advice?

call them. pick up the phone and call sweetwater and moog. put the responsibility in their lap as you do not want to damage the equipment or void any warranties. plus, this gives them a heads up on the status of their QA, or possibly shipping/handling malfunctions, etc. it's good feedback for them.
Go analog: Moog Music, Dave Smith Instruments, Tom Oberheim
Go plastic: Roland, Yamaha, Korg
