Im about to buy a Voyager Performer Edition with serial 2642. Seller shows me a video where it says v3,5 upon startup and think that refers to the software version(?).
I would really like the the version with the later firmware that can hold 7 banks. Is there a way to tell if thats possible with this particular Voyager?
From which serial did they ship with at least firmware 1,5??

Voyager serial 2672 - which firmware did it ship with?
Re: Voyager serial 2672 - which firmware did it ship with?
The 7 bank memory was a hardware and not a software/firmware thing. SOf cause, you needed the firmaware version 3.x to use the new digital board needed.
All digital boards I ever encountered with 7 bank of patch memory were smaller and used mainly SMD versus the THS of the original single sound bank versions.
The pre 3.x hardware with one sound memory bank
The new digital board with 7 banks of patch memory.
These are pictures I made many years ago when installing the 3.x hardware update myself as sold by Moog Music then.
