One of the Minimoog model D's keyboard is not working.

Post by Mastermindbeat » Mon Dec 27, 2021 8:09 am

First of all, I am Korean and I purchase Moog products through authorized Moog importers in Korea.
I bought the new Minimoog Model D reissue today.
I turned on the power and tried to play, but I can't hear the middle B note.
All notes are audible, only B is not audible.
The result is the same even with headphones.
Should it be regarded as an initial defective product?
Thank you!

That is very odd! I would contact the store, maybe they can exchange it for another?

Good luck!

I think this is caused by a faulty keybed. The keyboard is a Fatar. And it is connected to some little board in the left hand section (or was it below the keybed, can' remember right now)) of the reissue Minimoog to convert the diode matrix of the keybed into CVs fot the analog sound generation. This keybed is not based on analog voltage dividing resistors like the vintage Minimoog keybeds.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

Maybe it's Muddy Water's old minimoog?

I can hear him singing " NO B!!! "
