ARP/SEQ Matriarch isn’t triggered with external note on

Routing is as follow: All of my synths bidirectional with usb to my comp/daw. daw is logic pro. every synth is able to trigger every synth. i have not directly hardwired any synth to another. the question is simple: why does the ARPSEQ not start playing when the matriarch receives a external note on trigger via a pressed key on my synths ? i can hear a simple note being layed from the matriarch and its matching to the key i send BUT matriarch doesn’t start the ARPSEQ. BUT it starts when i press the key on matriarch itself ?
