Subharmonicon firmware woes

Post by NYK » Sat Nov 12, 2022 3:11 pm

Connected my sub 37 to my subharmonicon the other day, don’t know what happened but I ended up with an extended octave range, ie high frequencies went beyond my ability to hear them!. Decided to update firmware hoping that would fix it. I have followed the update instructions faithfully but I do not get the 1st 2nd 3rd sequencer lights flashing as they are supposed to at each stage.
Currently I appear to have wiped the firmware (so I’ve got a a basic oscillator whose frequency I can change) the first light of each of the two two sequencers are permanently on but I don’t seem to get any further response when I repeat the installation instructions.
In need of some help

I bought a USB to midi cable specifically for the purpose of doing the firmware update, it would seem that this cable was, for whatever reason, not compatible with the Subharmonicon. With the aid of my Machine 3 I successfully and very easily completed the update. But do I still have a problem, please see my subsequent posting.
