Sequencing DFAM w Matriarch!?

Post by MaxFerency » Sun May 22, 2022 10:14 pm

I just got a DFAM and its a lot of fun. Then I realized I could easily sequence the DFAM with the 256 step sequencer of the Matriarch! That is amazingly powerful!

My only wish, aside from an editor to write and back up Matriarch sequences, is that there was a much easier way to toggle off Seq Local Control and Seq Keyboard Control than going to the Global Settings (either via the keyboard method or the community-made editors). There is no way to do that by something like connecting an unconnected cable to an output to disrupt the signal path is there? That way I could play one thing Matriarch keyboard while its sequencer runs the DFAM.

For saving of Matriach sequences one could try to record the MIDI notes while playing the seq.
Restore could possibly done by setting ARP mode to Rec (CC 91) and then resending the MIDI notes.

Just an idea that I have not tested.
