I have a Matriach and a Korg SV-1 and I am considering getting a Subharmonicon or DFAM but I'm not sure which. Any recommendations? I primarily play jazz and jazz/hip-hop type stuff. I am exploring the random evolution of the sound of the instrument while I play it as well as more randomized but still groove-oriented rhythms while I play solo. I already have a traditional drum machine and can already do the same rhythm in a loop. My thoughts are:
Maybe I could get a DFAM and have some modulation from the Matriarch to randomize and make the rhythms evolve as I play?
OR
Maybe get a Subharmonicon to create more of an evolving harmonic ostinato rhythm to play along with?
Any recommendations on what works well for a jazz and jazz/hip-hop solo keyboard style? Which would work better for those examples?
Thanks in advance!
